Geometry has always been a fundamental element of Nash’s work. His sculptures and installations are developed through systematic repetitions and transitions. He explores mathematical constructions and the relationships created when shapes and angles are brought together in different ways.

Nash explains that he often arrives at these forms unexpectedly, different “family members” evolving from each variation of a theme. Specific sequences of lines, planes and angles result in traits that provide individual character and meaning to these objects.

“The manipulation of reflected, rotated, symmetrical solids and voids to create sculptures are my attempts to explore, and wonder at the fundamental fabric of matter; of how things are put together.”

Nash lives and works in Lewes and has exhibited regularly since 2001, including, Roche Court Sculpture Park, The Hannah Peschar Sculpture Garden, Cass Sculpture Foundation along with completing numerous public art commissions in the UK.
